Name, email address, and optionally a mobile phone number - only what's needed to create an account and deliver Globes.
Photos, notes, voice recordings, video, and music you add to a Globe are stored on our servers and protected by access controls. A recipient opens a Globe with their private access code or link. This is access control, not end-to-end encryption: we hold the content so you and your recipient can open it.
We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information or content with third parties for marketing purposes.
If you subscribe to text updates, we store your mobile number, subscription preferences, and a record of when and how you consented, including the consent wording. We use these records to provide Globe access and new-memory notifications, honor opt-outs, and document consent. We use Twilio and telecommunications providers to deliver messages. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent records with third parties for their marketing. Reply STOP to opt out, or contact support@justwantedtosay.com for help with your subscription or data.
We use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. We also record first-party activity events, such as a page view or a step while making a Globe. Those events store the IP address and browser user-agent for abuse prevention, testing, and understanding how the product is working. Some funnel events include a coarse device class (mobile, tablet, or desktop) and do not include the browser name or version. A saved Globe is not linked to the visit session that created it. Rate limits may use the IP address in server memory only.
Your data is stored on our servers and sent over HTTPS. Creator accounts use login credentials. Recipients use a private access code or link. Access is limited to operating and supporting the service. We do not encrypt Globe content so that only the recipient's device can read it.
